Public Library Philosophy: Public librarians serve as interdisciplinary heroes of the community. We provide reference services, encourage lifelong learning, and advocate for persons in need. As public servants, we give and teach the tools people need for a prosperous life: resources and stories. We teach literacies not just for reading but finding the best information, using technology, and understanding civic engagement, all in a fun, positive environment made for learning. By promoting resources or literature, patrons can further their knowledge or cozily experience the world in books, media, and more.
